General
   Be sure to put your child's name on all belongings brought into the studio. lease do not send toys or jewelry into class with your child. Please, no gum in the classroom. Please send slip-on shoes to put on after class -- dance and gymnastic shoes should not be worn outside.

Communication
   The studio will use email as the major process of communication. Please make sure email addresses are kept current with the front desk.
 

Attendance

    In order to take full advantage of the instruction offered, regular attendance is necessary. There are no refunds for missed lessons. If a student does not attend school due to illness, please do not send them to the studio.

Inclement Weather Policy

   During bad weather morning classes will be cancelled if the SHELBY COUNTY Schools are closed. For afternoon & evening classes please check the announcements on the website or call the studio after 2:30 to see if classes will be held. Cancelled lessons will be rescheduled.

Withdrawal

    In the event that a student withdraws from class, a withdrawal form must be filled out and returned to the front desk before the 5th of the month or you are responsible for that month's tuition.

Holidays

    We will be closed for the following holidays only:

Labor Day - September 5, 2011
Thanksgiving - November 23-27, 2011

Christmas Break - December 16, 2011-January 3, 2012

Spring Break - March 12-18, 2012

Observation

    No observers are allowed in the classroom during classes. We will have observation days in October and January.

Recital

    The annual recital will be held at the Germantown Performing Arts Centre Saturday, May 19, 2012. Studio rehearsals will be on May 11 & 12, and mandatory stage rehearsals on May 9, 16, 17, and/or 18.

    Since costumes add excitement and a professional quality to our recital, all of our students perform in costume. Costume prices are approximately $50 each. Combination dance classes will have two costumes and other classes will have one per subject.  Costume payments will be divided into 2 non-refundable payments due in November and January. A non-refundable recital fee is due with the costume balance in February ($50 for one child and $75 for two or more).

Safety Rule

    Please be on time to pick up your child & please do not leave your child early as supervision cannot be guaranteed since there are no breaks between classes. Also, we do not allow students to wait outside, so please urge your child to wait for you inside. Please do not leave siblings without a parent/guardian in the lobby--the staff cannot be responsible for their safety.

Class Attire
    All students are required to wear the proper clothing to class.

      Girls must have hair pulled away from face.
